Project Overview
A Barry‑based business needed to replace worn flooring in a service area used daily by staff and customers. They wanted a hygienic, seamless surface that would be easy to clean and maintain. LNC Floor Coverings proposed a commercial‑grade sheet vinyl solution.
Scope of Work
To achieve a hard‑wearing and hygienic finish, we followed a structured process that covered removal, preparation, fitting and compliance.
Existing floor removal & disposal
Our team removed the old floor covering and any residual adhesive, disposing of materials in line with environmental best practice
Subfloor levelling & preparation
We levelled the subfloor using a smoothing compound to ensure a perfectly flat surface. This was left to cure overnight to achieve optimal strength.
Sheet vinyl installation
Continuous rolls of sheet vinyl were laid and heat‑welded at seams to create a watertight, seamless surface. Skirting and edges were finished neatly to prevent trip hazards.
Welded seams & safety compliance
We paid particular attention to welding seams and coved skirting to maintain hygiene and comply with commercial safety standards.
